Student Record/Transcript Requests
Sumter Schools is now offering a secure and convenient way for former high school students and 3rd party requesters to request and receive student records and graduation verifications. Phone, mail, or fax requests will no longer be accepted. Please allow 5-7 business days to process student record requests.

What is an official high school transcript?
An official transcript is a copy of your official cumulative record which includes the following details, if available:
- Graduation date
- Classes taken in high school and grades
How much does it cost to order a High School Transcript, Verification of Name, Verification of Birth Date or Immunization record?
Former students: $5.00 per item + $2.00 processing fee per order.
3rd party requesters: $20.95 per order.
How much does it cost for a graduation verification?
3rd party requesters: $20.95 per order. Graduation verifications are emailed from the school records custodian to the requesting agent. Verifications will not be faxed, mailed or phoned in.
How long does it take to process a transcript request?
The normal processing time is 5-7 working days.
Can you confirm when my college has received my transcript?
A confirmation email will be sent from the Sumter County Schools confirming that your transcript has been mailed to the college of your choice. We cannot confirm when a particular college actually processes the transcript. Please be aware that in busy times colleges and universities may take several days to process transcripts.
Can I get a copy of my SAT Scores?
SAT scores may be listed in your transcript. If they are not, you must request those scores directly from the College Board, the administrators of SAT testing. More information can be found on their website http://www.collegeboard.com/ or by phone at 866.756.7346
Where can I get my GED or Adult Education Diploma?
Can I get a copy of my diploma or GED?
Sumter County Schools does not have diploma or GED copies. You can request these directly from the South Carolina Department of Education at: (803) 734-8040 or go to: http://www.ed.sc.gov/apps/ged/order.cfm
